چکیده
Solar heating technologies hold a significant potential to supplement or replace the fossil fuel-driven systems in residential and industrial applications. This paper presents techno-economic study aiming assess use of Unglazed Transpired Collectors (UTSC) coupled with an energy system assisted by Exhaust Air Heat Pump (EAHP) cold climates applied building cluster. The performance its components is assessed for different sizes solar collector field. In addition, rule-based algorithm developed manage airflow into UTSC, comparative analysis carried out conventional flow control. existing EAHP multifamily cluster Sweden modelled using simulation software TRNSYS, effects UTSCs integration on performances are evaluated. Results show that has small but positive impact overall performance. Moreover, control based variation rate UTSC effective strategy increase seasonal factor maximize savings.

Unglazed transpired collectors or UTC (also known as perforated collectors) are a relatively new development in solar collector technology, introduced in the early nineties for ventilation air heating. These collectors are used in several large buildings in Canada, USA and Europe, effecting considerable savings in energy and heating costs. Transpired collectors are a potential replacement for g...
متن کاملDetermining the optimal size of a ground source heat pump within an air-conditioning system with economic and emission considerations
One of the most challenging issues in modern-day building energy management involves equipping the buildings with more energy efficient facilities. In this paper, a hybrid system for cooling/heating for a residential building is developed and optimized. The system consists of a ground source heat pump (GSHP) as well as an electric chiller (EC) and boiler. The model is implemented in MATLAB ...
متن کاملEconomic optimization and comparative study of solar heat pumps
In this paper, an economic study of solar heat pumps and an investigation of differences between solar heat pumps and conventional heat pumps—based on their performances and energy consumption—are conducted for a residential apartment located in Austin, Texas, USA. Heating in the apartment is provided via a solar heat pump during the cold months of a year. Solar collectors are used to meet the ...
